CIPHEROPTICS JOINS RSA® SECURED PARTNER PROGRAM

-- Interoperability Partnership Between CipherOptics, Inc. and RSA®, The Security Division of EMC, Delivers Comprehensive Encryp¬tion Key Life Cycle Management to Enterprise Environments --

Raleigh, NC, April 1, 2008 –CipherOptics, Inc., the leader in network-wide encryption, today announces that it has joined the RSA Secured® Partner Program, certifying interoperability between CipherOptics CipherEngine and RSA® Key Manager. This interoperability partnership increases data security capabilities for joint customers by providing a comprehensive solution for network encryption key life cycle management.

“Together with CipherOptics, RSA, The Security Division of EMC, is helping to secure the information infrastructure as enterprises everywhere are faced with the critical need to protect data more stringently,” said D.J. Long, senior director, corporate development at RSA. “Our interoperability partnership with CipherOptics helps joint customers to better manage the risk to their information, and more effectively protect the data most sensitive to their organizations, customers, partners and employees.”

With this interoperability partnership, organizations can leverage the strengths of both CipherEngine and RSA Key Manager to more securely create, distribute, use, manage and retire encryption keys across the entire enterprise. The centralized key generation and life cycle management capabilities of RSA Key Manager are now designed to be interoperable with the dynamic key distribution functionality of CipherEngine, which allows joint enterprise customers to more easily create, distribute and archive encryption keys to meet the demands of today’s government and industry regulations, while protecting sensitive information and intellectual property.

“With complimentary capabilities and a shared commitment to easing the deployment and management burdens of encryption technology, RSA is a natural partner for CipherOptics,” said Ron Willis, president and CEO of CipherOptics. “We look forward to working together to ensure our joint customers have the key-management capabilities needed to develop an in-depth security strategy that provides encryption for data in transit, while securely managing and distributing encryption keys.”
