Commonwealth of Massachusetts Deploys CipherOptics Solution for Data Protection

Raleigh, NC, December 10, 2009 - CipherOptics, a leader in scalable data protection, announced today that the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development (EOHED) for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is deploying the CipherOptics CEP line of standards-based encryptors and CipherEngine, the industry's most scalable policy and key management solution for network encryption, to protect their data as it is transmitted across public access networks.

The EOHED is the agency responsible for the new Massachusetts data protection law and its enforcement. The final regulations of the law were filed last month and are set to take effect on March 1, 2010. The Massachusetts Data Protection law is considered to be one of the nation's toughest data protection laws.
