What's the Problem?
A 2007 IDC survey of Network and Security Administrators revealed that the biggest issues with network encryption, such as complexity and performance degradation, have nothing to do with encryption itself. These issues are actually the result of trying to use Internet Key Exchange (IKE), which was designed for point-to-point key exchanges, to manage policies and encryption keys for today's dynamic networks.
